Korea, 1950. The US X Corps attempted to force Chinese forces out of North Korea. The 1st Marines division pushed deep into North Korea to the Chosin Reservoir, but found themselves vastly outnumbered. Approximately 15,000 Marines found themselves facing 120,000 Chinese in some of the worst winter warfare conditions ever. The fighting valor of the Marines became legendary in the annals of military history. Veteran Floyd Stacy recounts his story.

I am grateful to be reminded of how much we owe to valiant men and women who were willing to forego all the comforts of life in order to carry out their duty. Doing one’s duty is a forgotten character asset.
